Position Available: Part-Time, 1st Shift LAB TECHNICIAN. The Lab Technician is the cornerstone for supplying the various Finish Department positions with quality and accurate finish material. Helpful Background: Proven experience with teams, communication, attendance, and attention to detail.  Required Background: Developed skills with mixing and making finishes, understanding timely and efficient production flow, measurement skills in liquid form with conversion application, and MSDS knowledge.

Wages: $18.00 / Hour ($16.00 Base Pay + $2.00 / Regular Hour Attendance Incentive). After the 60-day Training Period, Add 1) Certification Pay + 2) Production Incentive Pay. Add more Certification Pay (Up to $2.00 / hour) as new skills are obtained. Production Incentive Pay is based on specific numbers being achieved in production. Production Incentive Pay ranges from $0.75 to $3.88 / regular hour. Production Incentives are also paid for overtime hours. Additional Growth: Technical Pay with skilled positions. Lab Technician qualifies for Technical Pay.

Schedule:  Monday - Thursday, (1st Shift)  Range of 20-25 hours per week.  Start Time: 7:30AM.  Potential Schedule: 7:30AM - 11:30AM and 12:00PM - 2:00PM
   This is a Part-Time Only Position.
 

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail in job tasks.
  • Properly maintain applicable equipment to the position.
  • Ability to follow and communicate in written and verbal form.
  • Follow all safety requirements.
  • Willingness to listen to and receive instruction.
  • A desire to learn and retain information.
  • Ability to transport up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Able to walk, stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch regularly.
  • Ability to utilize transfer dolly to move material and large containers.
  • Willing to learn wood species, finishes (stains and paints), and cabinet parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to work effectively and courteously with co-workers
  • Understand and follow safety guidelines, including wearing company-provided protective equipment
  • Provide regular and consistent attendance - be on time for the work schedule
  • Willingly participate in all training
  • Be motivated to achieve production targets and other key performance measures
  • Clean containers, equipment and machinery utilized in Lab.
  • Transport material with-in and for the Lab.
