Position Available: Full-Time, 1st Shift Wrapper / Packager. As a Wrapper in the Final Line (FINL) Department, the employee prepares cabinets, parts, shelving, and molding for shipment with various packaging materials. Helpful Background: Teamwork (working well with others, giving respect to others, willing to help others), good communication skills, proven good attendance, and attention to detail.  Preferred Background:  Prior experience with wrapping products of all sizes, sending items via UPS, LTL, FedEx, USPS, and on semi-trailers. Hazardous package requirements are also beneficial.

Wages: START at $18.00 / Hour ($16.00 Base Pay + $2.00 / Regular Hour Worked Attendance Incentive). After the 60-day Training Period, Add 1) Certification Pay + 2) Production Incentive Pay. Add more Certification Pay (Up to $2.00 / hour) as new skills are obtained. Additional Growth: Technical Pay with skilled positions. Production Incentive Pay is based on achieving specific production targets. Production Incentive Pay ranges from $0.75 to $3.88 / regular hour. Production Incentives are also paid on overtime hours.

Schedule:  Monday-Thursday, 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM. 
*Fridays may be scheduled according to production needs.  

Requirements:

  • Willing to learn all phases of wrapping for the shipment process
  • Attention to detail
  • Communicate verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Follow safety requirements
  • Desire to provide quality in wrapping, plus detail in the shipment process
  • Willingness to listen to and receive instruction
  • A desire to learn and retain information
  • Able to remain stationary for long periods
  • Willing to learn wood species, finishes (stains and paints), and cabinet parts, overall job knowledge.

  • Understand and follow safety guidelines, including wearing company-provided protective equipment
  • Provide regular and consistent attendance, including being on time for the work schedule

Physical Demands: Regularly, the lifting is up to 25 pounds; occasionally, up to 50 pounds. If the material is large/heavy, do a 2-person lift. The area is fast-paced. You pull material from carts (above and below your shoulders), place it on the table, package it, label it, and place it in the proper storage cart.
